An immersive program for operating a diversified farm, beginning January 17.

This curriculum is designed to enable individuals with little-to-no farming experience to become fully capable farmers or farm managers.

In cooperation with the University of Georgia College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences, participants will be fully immersed in the day-to-day activities of a working farm, from the greenhouse to the field and the barn to the pasture.

Applicants will be eligible for housing assistance, and receive a stipend.

Participants will learn:

• How to write a business plan

• Business marketing

• HR training and support

• Equipment usage

• Planting and harvesting fruit, vegetables and lavender

• Bee-keeping
